AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our After School Program is available for children
that do not attend A Child’s Place full time. This program
gives the children a chance to get help with their homework as
well as provide tutoring to those who need a little extra help.
Staff will always make sure the homework is Completed, Corrected, and
Co-Signed. Once homework is completed, the children will have the
opportunity to chose a pre-planned activity. On Fridays the
students will have the opportunity go on After School Adventures.
Some trips may include bowling, NYC outings, baseball games, and a host
of others.
Staring the month of October students will have the opportunity
to explore a variety of skills. There will be four new
clubs introduced into our After School Program. The
following club will be introduced this year: Music (K-6)
Our
after school program is designed to be a fun environment for children
after a long school day. When they arrive to our program, they will be
given snack and our teacher will assist them with their homework.
Homework will be checked, corrected, and signed. Following homework, the
students will be allowed to choose from a variety of fun activities to
wind down from the long school day. Activities include art, writing,
reading, block play, puzzles, free time, board games, outside play, and
watching movies. Students are not allowed to bring electronic games or
cell phones. A Child’s Place will not be responsible for lost or broken
personal items.
