CHILD ORIENTATION
We recommend that all children four (4) and under have a brief orientation to the school. Your child will have the opportunity to do a “Sit In”. A “Sit In” is an orientation time for the children and the parents where the child has an opportunity to sit in the class with their new teachers and classmates for about 30-45 minutes.
The purpose of this “sit in” is to allow the child to get used to the class without having to stay for a long period of time. During this time the parent will be able to speak to the teacher briefly, sit in the class and observe and find out about the daily schedule. After the “sit in” we suggest that parents take the weekend to prepare their child for their new experience.
Parents of children over the age of four (4) can request that we arrange a “sit in” for their child.
It is normal for children to have a period of adjustment when starting a new school for the first time. See page for suggestions about how to ease your child into our center and make his experience the best it can be.
