RULES & REGULATIONS

Each parent/guardian reserves a yearly slot for their child at A Child's Place Day Care Center.

Each parent/guardian is responsible for payment of tuition ON TIME, on a monthly basis according to the published schedule.

After-school patrons MUST make payments on a bi-weekly basis. All payments MUST be paid ON TIME according to the published schedule.

Payments made after the scheduled date will incur a LATE FEE of $25.00 payable when payment is made. NO EXEPTIONS! Tuition cannot be delinquent in EXCESS of ONE WEEK as the reservation will be reviewed for cancellation and all advance fees forfeited.

Children MUST be picked up NO LATER than 7pm. Any child left after the respective pick up time will incur a LATE FEE of $25.00 per half hour. Any child remaining after 8pm (7:30 for A Child's Place Too) will be taken to the 115th precinct. All late fees incurred for any reason MUST be paid within TWO DAYS. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Any checks returned by the bank will FORFEIT a person's option to make payments by personal check for a period of SIX MONTHS. A returned check fee PLUS bank charges MUST be included in the payment of CASH or MONEY ORDER.

All children MUST be in the building NO LATER than 9:30am.

Each child is REQUIRED to have a complete change of clothing, which must be kept in the child's cubby AT ALL TIMES.

A Child's Place will NOT accept responsibility for any clothing items not labeled individually. Each parent/guardian MUST be sure that their child knows and learns to recognize their property to prevent unnecessary problems.

In accordance with NYC Health Code #47.33 (g) & (h), a clean sheet and change of clothing MUST be provided for each child individually. Sheets are to be taken home on FRIDAY, and returned on MONDAY.

All children MUST be dressed accordingly to facilitate required outdoor playtime, painting, and guiding, etc. Expensive items of jewelry are NOT to be worn to the facility. A Child's Place will not be RESPONSIBLE for loss or damage. We CANNOT assume responsibility for frilly dresses, dress pants, dress shoes, etc.

If a child must have medication administered during the day, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to SIGN the medication book in each respective classroom. This will give the staff permission and instructions to administer the medication to your child. By LAW, we CANNOT administer any over the counter medications unless prescribed by a physician. If the above is not adhered to, we will NOT give a child his/her medication.

If a child is dropped off at the facility and is NOT in accordance with the health regulations governing A Child's Place, the child CANNOT remain at the center. The parent MUST be contacted, and one MUST return and pick up the child. The child will not be kept placing the other children at risk of being infected too.

All children MUST enter the facility by the main door ONLY. All persons picking up children MUST enter thru the main door ONLY.

No child will be released to any person other than the parent/guardian. However, persons designated on the application form will be allowed with proper identification. This is for the SAFTY of you and your child. Please cooperate.

If there are any questions regarding your child's classroom, curriculum, programs, homework, or progress, be sure to take advantage of the Parent/Teacher conferences. If a particular incident or situation warrants attention, contact the director and set up an appointment to resolve the problem. DO NOT wait for days and weeks to pass or discuss your problem with other persons, children, or friends.

Check ALL bulletins in the front lobby, hallways, each classroom, and your child's cubbies for important information.

A two-week gratis time is allowed in conjunction with personal/individual vacation time. Vacation forms with the qualifications and requirements can be obtained upon request from management. These forms MUST be submitted to the office 30 days in ADVANCE to the requested vacation time. In the event of prolonged illness such as chicken pox, measles, etc, each case will be handled on an INDIVIDUAL basis with the proper medical verification.
